Rewrite AIRewrite AIThese Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Approtic ("we", "us") governing your use of the Rewrite AI iOS or Android application and any related services (the "App"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on compatible Apple or Android devices that you own or control, subject to the applicable App Store or Google Play terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the App except where applicable law expressly permits it.
You keep all rights to the notes, recordings, transcripts and other material you create or import ("Your Content"). We claim no ownership over it. You grant us only the narrow, temporary permission needed to transmit the specific text you submit to our AI processing endpoint and its model provider so that we can return your result. We do not use Your Content to train models.
You are responsible for Your Content and for having the right to record and process it. Recording laws differ by country and by state. In some places every participant must consent before a conversation may be recorded. You are solely responsible for obtaining any consent required where you are, and for using the App lawfully.
You agree not to use the App to: break any law; record anyone without the consent the law requires; infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy; create or distribute unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful or sexually exploitative material; attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems; or interfere with, overload or abuse our processing endpoint, including by automated or bulk use.
Rewrite AI uses automated speech recognition and large language models. Transcripts and AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading. Speech recognition may mishear words, and a model may produce text that sounds confident and is wrong. Output is provided for convenience only.
You must review AI output before relying on it. Do not rely on the App for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical or other professional decisions. We make no warranty that any transcript or summary is accurate or fit for any particular purpose.
Some AI features may be subject to reasonable usage limits to keep the service available and affordable for everyone. We may adjust plans, limits, features and prices; changes to the price of an existing auto-renewing subscription will be notified to you and take effect only after your consent as required by Apple and applicable law.
We aim to keep the App working but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Cloud AI features depend on third-party providers and on your internet connection, and may be temporarily unavailable. Core features including recording, on-device transcription and local notes are designed to continue working offline.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the App. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the App unlawfully. Sections 2, 4, 8, 9, 11 and 12 survive termination.
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Neither store provider is responsible for the App or its content or has an obligation to provide maintenance or support. Store-specific purchase, refund and usage rules also apply. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms for the iOS application and may enforce the applicable provisions against you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections and the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, through in-app notice. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
