Frequently asked questions
Does Photo Restore need an Internet connection?
No. Photo enhancement runs entirely on your Android device, and the app does not request Internet permission.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Android's system picker gives the app access only to the photo you select, and processing remains on the device.
Is the app really free?
Yes. This version has no ads, subscription, credits, account, or in-app purchases.
Does Color Recovery create new colors?
No. It strengthens color already present in the selected photo. It does not claim historically accurate colorization of black-and-white images.
Where is the enhanced photo saved?
When you choose Save, Android stores a new image in your gallery. The original selected photo is not replaced.
Why do results vary?
Local tone, contrast, color, sharpness, and scaling adjustments depend on the quality and content of the source image. Missing detail cannot always be recovered.
