Photo Restore

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 26, 2026. Photo Restore is free, offline, and designed to keep selected photos on your device.

Photos and local processing

Photo Restore uses Android's system photo picker and receives access only to the photo you explicitly select.

The selected photo and every enhancement are processed entirely on your device. Photo Restore does not upload photos to Approtic or any third-party server, does not request Internet permission, and does not use a remote restoration API.

Saving and sharing

An enhanced image is saved to your device only when you choose to save it.

If you choose Share, Android's system share sheet sends the image to the app or person you select. The selected destination handles that shared copy under its own privacy terms.

Information collected

Photo Restore does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information.

The app has no account system, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, crash-reporting SDK, payment SDK, or tracking technology.

Local app data

Onboarding status, an optional display name, and restoration-history labels may be stored locally on your device. App backup is disabled.

You can remove local app data through Android settings or by uninstalling the app.

Permissions

Photo Restore does not request broad photo-library, camera, microphone, contacts, location, or Internet permissions.

Android's system photo picker provides access only to the item you select.

Children

Photo Restore is a general-audience photography utility and is not directed to children under 13. Because the app does not collect personal information, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy if the app's functionality or legal requirements change. The date on this page identifies the latest version.
