The speed reads zero, or will not move.
The app needs location access to work at all. Open Settings, tap Simple Speedometer, choose Location and set it to While Using the App. Then step outside or away from a covered area so the GPS can get a fix.
The speed looks wrong or jumps around.
GPS speed depends on satellite signal. Tunnels, underground parking, tall buildings and heavy cloud all degrade it. The accuracy readout on the main screen tells you how much to trust the number. This is not a certified instrument and should not be relied on instead of your vehicle's own speedometer.
How do I show miles per hour instead of km/h?
Open Settings inside the app and choose your unit. MPH, KPH, knots and m/s are all available, and the whole app switches over, including trip history.
How do I use the windshield HUD?
Open the HUD screen and turn on Mirror, then place the phone flat on your dashboard so the screen reflects in the windshield. Check that this is legal where you drive and that the reflection does not obstruct your view.
Does the camera view record video?
No. The camera feed is drawn to the screen with your speed on top of it and is never recorded, saved or transmitted, not even to your own photo library.
I paid but the app still shows the paywall.
Tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen or in Settings. This re-reads your entitlement from the App Store. If it still does not unlock, email us and tell us which Apple ID region you purchased from.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. Open Settings, tap your Apple ID, choose Subscriptions, then select Simple Speedometer. Cancelling stops the next renewal and keeps your access until the current period ends.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all payments and refunds for App Store purchases, so we are not able to issue one. Request it at reportaproblem.apple.com using the Apple ID you bought with.
Where are my trips stored, and how do I delete them?
On your device only. They are never uploaded to us. Deleting the app deletes every saved trip, so export or note anything you want to keep before uninstalling.
