Rimlight has no account and no Rimlight server. Your camera settings, Looks and app rules are stored on your Mac. Video from your webcam is shown in the app’s preview and is never recorded, uploaded or sent anywhere.

There is no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party SDK that transmits data. The Mac App Store privacy label for Rimlight is Data Not Collected.

Rimlight is a Mac app that adjusts the hardware controls of USB webcams (exposure, white balance, focus, zoom and more) with a live preview, saves them as Looks, and applies them automatically.

Rimlight is published on the Mac App Store by DIGITALSTALK PRIVATE LIMITED, which also operates this website and handles support for the app.

Rimlight asks for camera access to show a live preview and to measure the picture for Fix My Lighting. Frames are analysed in memory on your Mac and discarded; nothing is saved.

Camera settings are sent directly to the camera over USB using the standard USB Video Class protocol. No driver is installed.

To switch Looks automatically, Rimlight observes which application is in front using macOS system notifications. It stores only the bundle identifiers and names of the apps you assign a Look to. It does not read the content of any app or window.

Rimlight Pro is a one-time purchase made through Apple In-App Purchase (StoreKit 2). Apple handles the payment and we never see your card details.

Apple provides the app with your purchase entitlement so Pro can be recognised and restored. There is no third-party purchases SDK in Rimlight.

No advertising, no analytics, no tracking across apps or websites, no video recording, and no selling or sharing of personal information.

Apple may provide us with aggregated crash data through App Store Connect if you have chosen to share it with developers in macOS Settings.

If you email us for support, we receive what you choose to send and keep it only as long as needed for support, legal and business records.

Because your data stays on your Mac, you can delete it at any time inside the app or by deleting the app. For any request about support emails we hold, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

Rimlight is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this policy when the app or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
