Passlight has no account and no Passlight server. Your chosen state, test date, answers, scores and progress are stored on your iPhone and nowhere else.

There is no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party SDK that transmits data. The App Store privacy label for Passlight is Data Not Collected.

Passlight is a study app for the DMV written knowledge test (permit test, learner's license test or driver's license exam) in the United States. Questions are original and written from each state's published driver handbook; every question shows the handbook section it comes from.

Passlight is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any state DMV, BMV, MVA, RMV, DPS or other licensing agency.

Passlight is published on the App Store by NHANCIO TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED, which also operates this website and handles support for the app.

Your selected state, optional test date, quiz and exam results, per-question progress, streaks and settings. All of it lives in Passlight's own storage on your device and is deleted when you delete the app or use Reset Progress in Settings.

Passlight does not use location services, the camera, the microphone or your contacts.

Pass Guarantee (one-time) and the 7-Day Pass are purchased through Apple In-App Purchase (StoreKit 2). Apple handles the payment and we never see your card details.

Apple provides the app with your purchase entitlement so a purchase can be recognised and restored. There is no third-party purchases SDK in Passlight.

No advertising, no advertising identifier, no analytics, no tracking across apps or websites, and no selling or sharing of personal information.

Apple may provide us with aggregated crash data through App Store Connect if you have chosen to share it with developers in iOS Settings.

If you email us for support, we receive what you choose to send and keep it only as long as needed for support, legal and business records.

Because your data stays on your device, you can delete it at any time inside the app or by deleting the app. For any request about support emails we hold, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

Passlight is designed for people preparing for a driving permit, which in most states means age 15 and up. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

We may update this policy when the app or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
